Been SO busy lately between work and side jobs and other responsibilities, ugh what's a gal gotta do to go to the beach for once:( I worked 2 doubles last week AND we were short staffed for my normal shifts, Saturday's schedule was so bad that Shelby tried to switch people around but no one could. Like all the appointments were in Mary's handwriting too, who would have guessed that?? She always overbooks Saturdays even though she knows we get the most emergency calls that day like maannnn... Anyways I think I'm overdue a girl's trip and a beach visit LOL
I've been dogsitting since last Wednesday and I still have until Saturday here, getting bored but at least this house is cool! It's an old home but anything important has been updated so it has all the joy of being a historic home without 1905 technologies (yay for having a microwave & good plumbing!). The dog is super sweet but very anxious which is why they like having someone stay with him full-time while they're on vacation. Speaking of which, they go on vacation A LOT! She's already got me booked here and there 4 times all the way until the end of November. I know I don't NEED to say yes but can I be home for like a full month just once... I do like when I'm here for longer though because it gives me a reason to take my PC which is such a good time waster, I definitely get bored otherwise.
Just finished my 2nd Baldur's Gate 3 run last night! I played a satyr bard, definitely going to draw her and my old tav when I get home! The wifi connection here is pretty bad so I'm thinking that's why my tablet pen won't connect to my tablet (which I am currently using as my monitor LOLL). I really wanted to get some Artfight refs done before tomorrow but I can't draw anything with my pen not connecting :(!! Before I came here though I did start on my newest BG3 piece for Karlach!! I did a more close-up portrait this time compared to the full-body I did for Gale, still trying to replicate the art nouveau style though :)
Heading up to North Carolina today to spend some time with Eli's family but mostly just to get his car inspected LOLL,, 8 hour car drive here we come!! Shouldn't be too crazy because Eli's too stubborn and probably won't let me drive, maybe on the way back though :) I'm excited to see his family again but most of all just excited to be back up north, I just love the scenery and all the wild plants and animals in the more rural areas. Florida's just got too much sand for anything nice to grow here :P
I definitely want to go to some antique stores this time around, I could spend hours even in a small one even when I'm not looking to buy anything. The little clown figurines I collect need somewhere new to sit because I'm running out of room on the top of my bookshelf, and if I find any I want to take home I'll definitely not have any room.
